Paver patios & walkways in South Jersey
Paver and natural stone patios, front walkways and garden paths, designed in 3D and built on a compacted base so they stay level.
Paver Patios & Walkways done right the first time
A paver patio or walkway is only as good as what's underneath it. We excavate to firm ground, build a compacted base of 3/4 stone or DGA (at least 4 inches for patios and walkways, 7 inches for driveways), and level the pavers on 1 inch of 3/8 chip stone, which drains far better than the concrete sand many installers still use. Every surface is pitched so water drains away from your house.
In the 3D design you can try different paver colors, patterns and borders and see them on your actual property before you choose.

What do you put under the pavers?
A compacted base of 3/4 stone or DGA, at least 4 inches deep for patios and walkways and 7 inches for driveways, with 1 inch of 3/8 chip stone on top as the leveling layer. Chip stone drains better than concrete sand, so the patio stays flat.
Pavers or concrete?
Pavers cost more up front but handle freeze-thaw better, can be repaired one section at a time and give you more design options. Concrete is a lower-cost choice for simple shapes.
Do I need a permit for a patio?
Some towns require one, especially for larger patios or when steps and walls are involved. We'll tell you what your town requires.
